Whitby residents have until November 20 to tell council which two areas of community improvement should be priorities for the Town’s 2027 budget.
The consultation opened November 5. The Town is asking residents to select two categories through Connect Whitby’s budget page, where the participation tool and background information are available.
What residents can choose
The announcement lists six areas: parks and trails; roads; recreation centres; snow-clearing equipment; road safety; and the marina and waterfront.
These are spending-priority categories, not individual construction projects being approved through the survey. Residents should use the official tool to record their choices.
How the feedback reaches council
The Town says the results will be shared with council to help inform decisions before adoption of the 2027 budget. The invitation does not set a tax increase or assign a funding amount to any category.
The participation window closes November 20. The announcement does not specify a closing time, so this report does not assume one. Check the live consultation page for any updated instructions.
