Visitors to the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex should expect temporary closures from September 8 through September 12 while Pickering replaces a rooftop heating, ventilation and air-conditioning unit.

Change-room closure

The older family change room will close for the duration of the work. The main universal change room will remain open and accessible.

Crane operation on September 9

A crane lift is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, from 7 to 8 a.m. Designated parking spaces inside the marked construction zone will be unavailable from 7 a.m. to noon. Squash courts will also close temporarily during the lift.

The City says the restrictions are required to remove the existing rooftop unit and install its replacement safely. Facility users should review the City’s map and service announcement before travelling, especially if accessible parking or change-room arrangements affect their visit.
