Durham Catholic District School Board students in Grades 3–8 can submit an original design for the board’s 2026 digital Christmas card until November 20.
The board says the winning artwork will be shared with families, staff, parishes, community partners and supporters of Catholic education. The selected student will be invited to present the design at the December 14 regular board meeting.
Theme and eligibility
The contest is open to DCDSB students in Grades 3–8. The board asks for artwork celebrating the birth of Jesus and reflecting Catholic identity, with themes such as faith, hope, peace, kindness and care for the community.
Submission requirements
- Artwork must fit within a maximum paper size of 8.5 by 11 inches.
- Submit a digital PDF, JPEG or PNG; the original work may be made with traditional or digital media.
- The student must create the work. AI-generated artwork and copyrighted or trademarked material are not permitted.
Email the design to communications@dcdsb.ca by November 20, using the subject line “DCDSB Christmas Card Contest Submission.” The board asks for the student’s name, grade and school in that private submission email.
The winner is to be announced in early December. The board says it will acknowledge the selected student’s name, grade and school in its communications and may make minor formatting adjustments to the design.
