Several Durham Region offices and programs will pause for Labour Day on Monday, September 7.
Offices and clinics
Regional Headquarters, courts, front counters and call-centre services will close. Directly operated child-care centres, Family Services Durham locations and Ontario Works offices in Ajax, Oshawa and Uxbridge will also be closed.
The notice lists unavailable Health Department services, including Oshawa’s oral-health clinic and office, and sexual-health, breastfeeding and immunization clinics.
Transit and continuing support
Durham Region Transit will follow a weekend timetable. Its Ajax customer-service desk will close, but the Specialized Services telephone line will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Regional outreach will continue supporting people experiencing homelessness.
