Oshawa says it has determined zoning and draft-plan amendment applications for land at Conlin Road East and Riverton Street to be complete. The applications will go to a future Planning Act public meeting of the city’s Economic and Development Services Committee.

The complete-application finding means the required materials have been submitted for the municipal review process. It is not an approval of the proposed development.

Proposal would change the housing mix

Greycrest Homes (Oshawa) Inc. proposes to revise phases 10 and 11 of an approved draft plan of subdivision. The current approval permits 93 single-detached dwellings. The new proposal calls for five single-detached dwellings and 94 semi-detached dwellings.

The applicant is also seeking a site-specific residential zoning amendment. Oshawa’s notice says the requested standards include reduced front and rear yard depths and increased lot coverage.

Residents can comment before decisions are made

The city has not yet posted the public-meeting date on the source page reviewed. Written comments may be submitted before council passes a zoning amendment and before the subdivision revisions are approved.

Residents who want notice of the eventual decisions must make a written request to Oshawa’s Commissioner of Economic and Development Services. The official notice also explains that participation before the decisions can affect Ontario Land Tribunal appeal rights.
