Oshawa has started the third and final phase of its Lakeview Park renewal project, with work focused on the eastern part of the waterfront park.

The City expects the project to be completed in late fall. Visitors may encounter temporary disruptions and should follow posted signs and detours.

Work in the final phase

The planned work includes replacing interlocking paths with asphalt connections from the north parking lot to the picnic shelter and gazebo, adding a concrete approach to the beachfront washrooms, installing benches, and preparing asphalt pads for future portable washrooms.

The City also plans general upgrades and structural repairs at the two lookouts, gazebo, eastern beachfront shade structure and Mandela Point structure.

Earlier work completed accessibility upgrades at the Jubilee Pavilion and gazebo and replaced pathways through the western parkland and waterfront trail.
