Clarington will hold a public open house at the new Bowmanville Community Complex on Saturday, October 3, from 1 to 5 p.m.
The municipality says visitors will be able to preview the FIFA-sized multi-sport dome and indoor walking track, learn about the facility, register for fall programs and take part in family activities. Regular programming and rentals are scheduled to begin October 13.
Later phases
Clarington says future phases include an outdoor refrigerated skating trail, followed in 2027 by an aquatics centre and additional multi-purpose rooms.
