A new Pickering notice sets out road and sidewalk restrictions on Glenanna Road from Monday, November 2, through Monday, November 16, for installation of a Region of Durham watermain.
The road closure and east-side sidewalk closure run from the north limit of The Esplanade North to the Health Services Centre entrance, approximately 100 metres south of Kingston Road. The west sidewalk from Pickering Parkway to The Esplanade North will also remain closed.
Getting to the Health Services Centre
The City directs visitors to the Health Services Centre at 1885 Glenanna Road to approach along Glenanna Road via Kingston Road. This is a public-service destination address.
Vehicle and pedestrian detours are provided, according to the notice. Follow posted signs and consult the City announcement and linked location map for the current limits. The announcement does not provide a route-by-route transit timetable.
Residents can call Pickering’s service disruption line at 1-866-278-9993 for more information. AllAboutDurham.com also reports on the changed closure area; this is an original summary independently checked against the City’s notice.
