Oshawa’s annual Remembrance Day parade will leave the R.S. McLaughlin Armoury at 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, with the ceremony beginning at the Memorial Park cenotaph at 10:45 a.m., according to the City’s event announcement.
Royal Canadian Legion Branches 43 and 637 are hosting the parade and ceremony. Two minutes of silence will be observed at 11 a.m.
Attending or watching from home
The City links to Rogers TV’s planned live broadcast for residents unable to attend. Check the City’s event page for updates, including severe-weather information.
A separate City road-closure notice describes full and rolling downtown closures, with some beginning at 7 a.m. and others at 10:25 a.m. Consult that notice and its map before driving; ceremony time is not the start time for every road restriction.
The Legion branches request that the airspace over Memorial Park be respected as a no-drone zone during the ceremony. This article reports their request, not an independent statement of aviation law.
