Scugog residents age 18 and older can register for one of two free CPR-C training courses approved by Township Council and hosted by St. John Ambulance.
The four-hour sessions are scheduled for November 7 at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre and November 14 at the Blackstock Recreation Complex. Each course is limited to 18 participants, with spaces offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
What the course covers
The Township says participants will learn how to manage an emergency scene, recognize a heart attack and respond when someone stops breathing. CPR-C instruction includes resuscitation techniques for adults, children and infants, as well as two-rescuer CPR.
Registration is available through Scugog’s official Adults and Older Adults recreation page.
