Clarington electors can vote online or by telephone over seven days in the 2026 municipal election, from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20 until 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26.
The Municipality says Voter Information Letters have been mailed to eligible electors on the voters’ list. Each letter contains voting instructions and the unique PIN needed to cast a ballot.
Check the voters’ list before voting opens
Residents can confirm their voter information through Clarington’s official election website. Anyone who did not receive a Voter Information Letter may need to be added to the voters’ list or update their information.
Clarington says eligible electors can seek help at the Municipal Administrative Centre, a Clarington Public Library branch or an Election Assistance Centre. Identification showing the elector’s name, address and date of birth is required when adding a name to the list.
Election Assistance Centres
Accessible Election Assistance Centres can issue replacement voting letters and PINs, correct address or school-support information, provide laptops for voters without internet access, and offer help with the voting process.
Depending on address and school support, ballots may include races for mayor, regional councillor, local councillor and school-board trustee.
