The City of Pickering says the Scarborough Pickering Townline will be fully closed from Finch Avenue to the CP Rail track starting September 28 for road reconstruction. The closure is expected to remain in place through December 2026.
Construction and detour
City contractor Melrose Paving Co. Ltd. will reconstruct the road from Finch Avenue to the south limit of the CP Rail track under quotation Q2026-30. The City says a full closure is required and detour signage will be installed to direct traffic around the work area.
Drivers should allow extra time and follow posted detours while the project is underway.
