Brock council’s September 28 agenda asks members to consider how to allocate a $300,269 unallocated 2025 surplus, give direction on late ice for the 2026–27 season and authorize work at Lodwick Park.
Items before council
The published recommendations propose allocating $106,136 to the Library Rate Stabilization Reserve and $194,133 to the Rate Stabilization Reserve for consideration during the 2027 budget process.
Council is also set to consider expanding the pickleball court and installing soccer goal posts at Lodwick Park, applying to the 2026 Community Sports and Recreation Infrastructure Fund, approving a Community Improvement Plan application in Beaverton for up to $772, and renewing two seasonal fish-hut leases at Beaverton Harbour.
A motion pulled from the council information index asks Ontario to investigate measures addressing growing tick populations and tick-borne disease risks, including education, regional coordination and support for public health units. These are agenda recommendations, not completed decisions.
