Durham Region voters now have certified candidate lists available from all eight local municipalities for the October 26, 2026 municipal and school board elections.
The certified lists cover Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge and Whitby. They include candidates for mayor, regional and local council seats, and school board trustee positions. The Region’s chair will not appear on the ballot because the office is appointed under Ontario’s current regional-governance framework.
What voters should check
- Confirm the municipality and ward in which you are eligible to vote.
- Use the municipal clerk’s certified list as the controlling source for candidate status and spelling.
- Check the municipality’s voting page for identification, registration and voting-method details.
- Recheck official information before voting because clerks may publish corrections or status updates.
