Uxbridge residents who receive a voter information letter for someone who moved away or died should return the unopened envelope through the mail so election staff can deactivate its voting PIN.
The township’s official voter-information page tells residents to write “Return to Sender — Moved” or “Return to Sender — Deceased” on the envelope, as appropriate. Election staff will try to verify the change after the letter is returned.
Keep your own letter secure
Uxbridge’s 2026 municipal election is being conducted by internet voting. Each registered elector’s voter information letter contains a personalized PIN, so the township says residents should keep their own letter in a safe place.
A misdirected letter does not by itself show that an additional vote was cast. Returning it allows election staff to deactivate the PIN and review the voter-list information.
Help is available during the voting period
Online voting opened at 9 a.m. on October 13 and closes at 8 p.m. on October 26. Residents who did not receive their own letter, need to correct their information, lack computer access or need help voting can contact the township’s voter help line at 905-852-9181 or attend a voter assistance centre.
The official page lists assistance at Uxbridge Town Hall, Uxbridge Public Library and scheduled sessions in Goodwood and Zephyr. Electors should confirm current hours on the township page before travelling.
