Oshawa residents can vote online from October 13 through October 26 in the 2026 municipal and school board elections. The City will also operate Voter Assistance Centres, and paper ballots will be available on voting day.
Check voter information and watch for the letter
The City is asking residents to confirm their voter information through its official voters-list service. Each voter information letter includes a unique registration number, online-voting instructions, assigned voting locations and other election details.
Residents who have not received a letter by Friday, October 9 should review their information online or contact the Office of the City Clerk.
Online voting dates and deadline
Online voting opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13 and closes at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26. The City says anyone beginning an online ballot on voting day must start no later than 6 p.m. to access the platform.
In-person help and paper ballots
Advance Voter Assistance Centres will provide City devices for online voting. On October 26, ward-based centres will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for voting on City devices or by paper ballot. Voters should bring their voter information letter and accepted identification.
Accessible voting measures include accessible equipment, trained election officials, support persons and service animals, and in-person opportunities at long-term-care, retirement and other care facilities. Voting-day accessible equipment will be available at City Hall for voters from any ward.
