The northern section of Ed Broadbent Park near Harbour Road and Simcoe Street South is closing for construction of a permanent washroom building.
The City of Oshawa says the closure begins Monday, September 14, 2026, and is expected to remain in place through spring 2027. The construction area will be fenced, and some sections of the multi-use trail will not be accessible during the work.
What will be unavailable
The northern portion of the waterfront park will be closed around the work zone. The vacant overflow parking lot on the north side of Harbour Road will also be unavailable for the duration of construction.

What remains available
The city says the park’s south-side parking lot will remain available. The main event stage and the portable washrooms east of the stage are also not expected to be affected by the project.
