The Durham District School Board will hold its second annual CTRL+ALT+EDUCATE event for kindergarten to Grade 8 students and their families on Friday, November 13.
The PA Day event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the DDSB Education Centre in Whitby. The board describes it as a hands-on introduction to innovation, modern learning and artificial intelligence.
Activities for students and caregivers
DDSB says student activities will focus on building, creating and discovery. Parents and caregivers can attend short sessions on reading and writing support, technology used in schools, multilingual learning, modern mathematics, land-based learning and ways artificial intelligence may support student needs.
Students must remain supervised by a caregiver throughout the event. The official notice asks families to register in advance.
