Construction is set to resume at the approved Beaverton Lake Homes subdivision site near Thorah Concession Road 5 and Osborne Street, according to the Township of Brock.
The Township says the next work includes earthworks, deep sewer servicing, rock breaking and pond construction. It did not identify an exact restart date in its notice.
Approved subdivision work
The municipal notice says the work is intended to prepare the property for an approved residential subdivision. The Township acknowledged that the project has experienced delays and periods of inactivity and said it is working with the developer to have required work completed under approved plans and municipal requirements.
Durham Post reported that the draft-approved plan contains 141 single-detached homes, 65 townhouses and seven to 14 live-work townhouse units, for a potential total of up to 220 units. The report also lists a park block, stormwater-management pond and open-space or wetland blocks, and says draft approval took effect February 17, 2026.
