Adrian Foster is the longest-serving Mayor in Clarington's history, first elected in 2010. A former investment advisor and Local Councillor for Ward 1 (2003-2010), he holds a BA from the University of Toronto. Foster chairs the Durham Region Finance committee and the Canadian Association of Nuclear Host Communities, reflecting Clarington's connection to the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. He's led the municipality through significant growth while maintaining among the lowest tax rates in Durham Region.
